The main suspect, as part of the investigation into the assassination of ex-rugby international Federico Martin Aramburu, shot dead in Paris on the night of Friday to Saturday after an altercation in a bar, was arrested in Hungary overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday.

Former soldier and member of the far-right GUD movement

Loik Le Priol, 27, a former soldier and member of the far-right GUD movement, is suspected of having shot the ex-rugby player who died on the spot. Arrested near the border with Ukraine, he is due to appear next June for “aggravated violence” against a member of the GUD, a former leader of the group named Edouard Klein.

Another wanted man

Another man, also active on the extreme right, who also allegedly fired, is still wanted.

According to Liberation, this suspect is a certain Romain B., also indicted in the Klein case. He is also a member of the GUB.

Loik Le Priol and him were together, when a court decision prohibited them from coming into contact with each other.

On the other hand, a 24-year-old young woman, suspected of having participated in the homicide, was indicted on Tuesday for “complicity in murder” and placed in pre-trial detention. This suspect, who would have driven the car from which the two men allegedly shot the former Argentine international in the 6th arrondissement of Paris, was arrested on Saturday.
