Compatible iPhone owners can now take advantage of a new iOS update.

Apple has indeed deployed version 16.0.2 of its iOS ecosystem, with some optimizations on the menu.

The iOS 16.0.2 update has arrived!

It’s been a few days now that the new iPhone 14s have been available in stores, all of them carrying a certain iOS 16. Obviously, this new version is not reserved for the latest Apple products, and many smartphones can migrate to iOS 16 .

The American giant had promised a first quick fix to come and optimize an iOS 16 which suffers from a few small youthful flaws. It’s been done for a few hours, with the deployment of a certain iOS 16.0.2. This is a minor update that requires a download of approximately 210MB.

What’s new ?

As always, the update offered by Apple promises to bring important fixes and improvements related to iPhone security. At the same time, the update is responsible for fixing a handful of bugs, including one particularly annoying on the new iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.

This is because the camera on some iPhones was susceptible to vibrating, which could lead to blurry photos being taken with some third-party apps. Similarly, the screen was susceptible to turning black while setting up the device. All of this is now ancient history.

Same regarding some superfluous permission requests during copy-paste operations, not to mention a bug related to VoiceOver when restarting. Indeed, the iOS 16.0.2 update also takes care of fixing an issue that could cause the touchscreen to be unresponsive on the iPhone X, XR and 11.

Suffice to say that installing this new update is recommended, while waiting for the first major iOS 16.1 update which should arrive at the end of October.
