You can now back up your iPhone to 4G
You may have already wanted to back up your iPhone from iCloud when you were not near a Wi-Fi network. And good news for all future users of Apple smartphones and tablets running iOS 16/ iPadOS 16, you will now be able to perform this operation from a 4G connection.
Here is what it says in the document published by the apple brand about this feature: ” Customers using iOS 16 can now back up their device over an LTE cellular connection, as well as a 5G or Wi-Fi connection “.
If backing up your device was already possible from a 5G connection, this was not yet the case for 4G. So that’s pretty good news, although we don’t have all the details about how it works yet. As a reminder, the public beta of iOS 16 will be accessible to everyone from July. However, we will have to wait until next fall before we can get our hands on the final version of the OS.
