Owners ofAirPodsyou will soon be able to benefit from a more immersive sound experience than ever thanks to this new feature coming to iOS 16.

While we have just shared with you the list of new features brought to Apple Music by iOS 16, we are now taking the opportunity to come back specifically to one of them: personalized spatial audio.

Apple introduces personalized spatial audio

During WWDC 2022, which took place last week, Apple made many announcements around its devices and operating systems. But the Cupertino company also took the opportunity to unveil many new features to come within its ecosystem. Among these famous features, we find in particular the personalized spatial audio, which will soon land on your iPhone.

With the imminent arrival of iOS 16, which is scheduled for the end of the year, Apple wants to offer you a sound experience ” more precise and immersive “. To do this, the American giant will use your iPhone’s TrueDepth camera to perform a 3D scan of your ears. The goal? To offer you the best possible rendering during your listening sessions on Apple Music, provided that you are equipped with AirPods. Thanks to this technology, compatible with Dolby Atmos, Apple wants to offer you tailor-made listening while making you enjoy 3D sensations. Everyone will be able to adjust the different sound options as best as possible from the settings of their smartphone.

As a reminder, iOS 16 is currently still in the beta phase and is currently only available to testers. You can also find our first impressions around the future version of Apple’s operating system while waiting for the launch of the public beta scheduled for next July.
