Apple’s new mobile OS could offer a new notification screen as well as health tracking features.
In less than two months, Apple will unveil iOS 16 at its WWDC 2022 conference and the first information about this next operating system is starting to reach us.
Some optimizations to plan for the interface and a lot of work on the health features
It’s the always knowledgeable Mark Gurman, from Bloombergwhich gives us some indiscretions on iOS 16. This year again, we should not expect an upheaval in the interface of the OS, which would retain its home screen and its application screens.
However, Apple would like to review the notification panel. The manufacturer has reviewed the presentation of this screen several times and last year added a Concentration mode to filter the various alerts received more finely, but it seems to have some new ideas in stock to improve the user experience.
iOS 16 would also offer new health monitoring features, but Gurman does not go into detail about these various additions. watchOS 9, the next Apple Watch operating system, would also benefit from major updates in terms of activity tracking and we can imagine that the two systems will work together to offer more complete and precise.
Finally, iPad users should not be harmed. iPadOS 16 would indeed offer a new multitasking system only a year after its improvement in iOS 15. Again, we will have to wait a few weeks to find out if Apple has engaged in a smooth evolution or a total overhaul.
