Ding dong! It’s (already) time to update our iPhones. The iOS 17.4.1 update is in fact available for download, and although it does not include as many new features as the previous one, Apple still highly recommends its installation.

While you may have just migrated to iOS 17.4, the update which allows Apple to comply with new European legislation, iOS 17.4.1 has arrived. In fact, for several hours now, iPhones have been informing their respective owners of the availability of a new software update.

Here (already) is an iOS update again

Against a download of slightly more than 400 MB, it is therefore possible to install iOS 17.4.1. The new update from Apple promises to carry out important fixes, but also security-related improvements, without further details however.

This is a minor update for iOS, which could correct a security flaw, according to BGR, but also optimize a battery problem for certain users. We also mention a repaired digital barometer and some problems with unexpected disconnections which could also have been corrected.

Still, Apple recommends that all owners of an iPhone compatible with iOS 17 proceed with this update. Remember that after installation, the battery may be damaged for a few hours/days.

For the record, Apple has also released an update online for iPhones incompatible with the new iOS 17. The latter are invited to migrate to iOS 16.7.7, which in turn offers various fixes in terms of stability and security.
