iOS 18: Apple could finally let you personalize your home screen

iOS 18 promises to be full of new features. Among the rumors circulating, this version of the operating system dedicated to iPhone would introduce the possibility of leaving empty locations, rows and columns between the icons on the home screen, thus allowing owners of these devices to organize applications according to their preferences. This feature, already present on Android for years, would give more control to users.

According to information reported by several sources, including Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman, iOS 18 is shaping up to be a major update for iPhone users. In addition to the personalization of the home screen, notable advances in artificial intelligence are also there. Apple is exploring the possibilities offered by generative AI, with potential applications ranging from improving the Siri voice assistant to new features focused on accessibility.

Additionally, partnerships with companies like OpenAI could enrich Apple’s artificial intelligence ecosystem. Not to mention the implications of DMA and RCS protocol support in the iMessage app which should arrive at the same time as the iOS 18 update.

The official launch of iOS 18 would be scheduled for June during WWDC, Apple’s major conference dedicated to developers, the exact date of which remains to be specified, with the availability of a beta during July.
