With the current iPad generation, Apple is once again delivering excellent products. Above all, the performance is clearly superior to the competition thanks to the new processors – and the upgraded iPadOS brings the tablets even closer to the notebook league. In some cases, the iPad, in combination with the optionally available keyboard and pen, can even replace the notebook. Of course, it depends on personal use whether an iPad is sufficient or not.
It almost doesn’t matter whether you choose the iPad 11 Pro or the 12 Pro. However, we like the iPad Pro 11 a bit better in the test because the more compact design (11 inches vs. 12.9 inches) is handier and easier to use on the go. The battery also lasts a little longer thanks to the smaller display. In terms of price, the iPad 11, just like its big brother, is not a bargain. The tablet costs more than many high-performance notebooks, especially when fully equipped (5G, large memory, keyboard, pen). In the variant presented here with a WLAN module and 128 GB of storage, however, the price is reasonable.
Our conclusion at the time of testing:
Note: The test refers to the tablet with a 5G module. Apart from the radio module, there are no differences between the WLAN and the 5G model.
