iPadOS 16, in public beta, may not be available in final version until October. The new version of the operating system would thus accompany the launch of new tablets signed Apple.

Presented at the last Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June, the new version of the operating system for tablets from Apple is expected fans its final version in the fall, at the same time as that of iOS 16. iPadOS 16 , currently in beta, should nevertheless be offered to the general public a little later than expected.

According to the sources of Bloomberg, the deployment of iPadOS 16 in final version could indeed be postponed for a month, to intervene only next October. In question, the finalization of features such as Stage Manager, one of the flagship new features of the operating system, allowing to display several windows with customizable dimensions, or even to superimpose them. Apple would have chosen, to fix the bugs affecting one of the most interesting new features of iPadOS 16, to give it an additional month of development. Remember that this function is all the more crucial as it is used when connecting tablets with external screens, up to 6K for the iPad Pro and Air.

If current rumors are to be believed, Apple’s next keynote would take place in mid-September. As always, it would be devoted to new iPhones (the 14 series) and could accommodate at least a first tablet with iPadOS 16 as soon as it is marketed. It would then be an iPad Pro equipped with an Apple M2 chip, which we discovered this summer on a new generation of MacBook. This tablet could also be accompanied by a “classic” iPad no longer carrying a Lightning socket, but a USB-C charging port.
