According to Kuo, the 12-megapixel sensor placed on the front of the iPhone 13 would benefit from a larger aperture optic. On the iPhone 13, the lens opens at f/2.2 while on the 14 models, the aperture would be increased to f/1.9. Moreover, it seems that the Pro versions are not the only ones to benefit from this improvement. Ming-Chi Kuo says the next four iPhones will get front-end upgrades. The analyst adds that this could benefit video calls with FaceTime, or even streaming. On the other hand, no information is yet available as to a better definition of the sensor to be expected. The latter could therefore keep its 12 megapixels, as is the case with the iPhone 13.
