As the well-known Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman reports in his newsletter, there will be significant differences between the upcoming iPhone 14 and the iPhone 14 Pro when it comes to the camera. The camera sensors of the two cheap models should therefore have a resolution of 12 megapixels, like the current iPhone 13.

According to Gurman, the new sensors with a significantly higher resolution of 48 megapixels are reserved for the two iPhone 14 Pro variants. Even more: Apple’s self-developed A16 SoC should also only be installed in the two Pro models.
The iPhone 14 and the iPhone 14 Max have to make do with the A15 known from the iPhone 13 generation. The latter circumstance could also have something to do with the global shortage of important components, according to Bloomberg.
