iPhone 15 Pro: Apple is said to bring back the landscape view

IPHONE 15: RUMORS, RELEASE, TECH, PRICE – WHAT WE ALREADY KNOW

Large iPhone models in particular, such as the upcoming iPhone 15 Pro Max, could benefit from a landscape view. There was one before!

  • Since the introduction of the iPhone X, Apple no longer offers the option of displaying the home screen and apps in landscape format.
  • The large iPhones are particularly suitable for this.
  • A concept is now reviving this idea.

You may have caught yourself trying to put your iPhone’s home screen into landscape view. An activated screen lock is not the reason why this does not work. Rather, Apple has long since said goodbye to the function.

That was very different. When Apple presented the iPhone 6 Plus in 2014, it still worked without any problems. In addition, Apple’s own apps such as Mail or Calendar support a split-screen view. Various mailboxes were displayed on the left side, with the corresponding messages displayed on the right.

That’s all history – apps can be forced into landscape format, but are simply stretched out in the process. It’s a shame, especially for models with a large screen like the current top product, the iPhone 14 Pro Max.

It is uncertain whether there will be a change in iOS in connection with the upcoming release of the iPhone 15 generation. On Twitter, the user “Basic Apple Guy” keeps the memory of the home screen in landscape format and gets a lot of encouragement for it. How do you think Apple likes that?
