iPhone 15 Pro Max: This feature causes a price increase

IPHONE 15: RUMORS, RELEASE, TECH, PRICE – WHAT WE ALREADY KNOW

It has long been apparent that the iPhone 15 Pro Max will be more expensive than the iPhone 14 Pro Max. A feature is supposed to drive up the price.

A lot has already been leaked about the upcoming iPhone 15 generation. Some leaks are credible, others less so.

But no matter who you ask – nobody really expects the new iPhone 15 to be cheaper than the iPhone 14. The well-known analyst Jeff Pu from Haitong International Securities has often spoken of a price increase in the past.

Better camera than cost drivers

The iPhone 15 Pro could have a periscope camera and thus more optical zoom. However, such a camera was already under discussion for the iPhone 14 Pro shown. (Source: Apple)

Interestingly, he now explicitly picks Apple’s upcoming top model, the iPhone 15 Pro Max, and says that this model will be more expensive than the iPhone 14 Pro Max (from 1,449 euros in Germany).

The analyst does not give specific reasons for his assumption, but this could be obvious. Because while the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max differ only marginally from each other, according to reports, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max go their separate ways technically.

While – as of today – the iPhone 15 Pro will come onto the market with a well-known camera system, things are different with the Pro Max model. Here Apple is said to be using a periscope camera that offers a fivefold optical zoom.

Such cameras already exist on Android smartphones, but they would be new for Apple. And it can be assumed that Cupertino will compensate for the additional costs for this component with a surcharge.

Everything we know so far about the iPhone 15 can be found in the linked review article, which is updated daily.
