This now seems to be confirmed: all iPhone 15 models should skip the notch in favor of Dynamic Island.

While the iPhone 15 Pro recently took advantage of a leak to unveil its new borders and its new photo module, the next generation of Apple smartphones should welcome the new notch system with open arms.

Dynamic Island: compulsory passage for all iPhone 15?

With the launch of its iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max last year, Apple introduced Dynamic Island, an all-new notification system designed to revolutionize the notch. Presented in the form of a small capsule, this dynamic island allows users to use the notch of their device as an interactive element. An excellent idea that Apple obviously does not intend to give up anytime soon.

For several weeks, rumors have been rife around the next iPhone. And if we know that the Apple brand is already thinking about an iPhone without a punch, unfortunately we will have to wait a little longer before that happens. However, the Cupertino company intends to popularize Dynamic Island with the general public by integrating the functionality into all of its iPhone 15 models.

iPhone 15 glass panels leak on video!

In the technology industry, leaks are now commonplace. Today, it is the panels of the iPhone 15 which have started to point the tip of their noses on the Web (and on video, please!). This leak, coming from China, is the perfect opportunity to see that the different iterations each have a cutout similar to that of the very high-end iPhones marketed last year. Thus, there is now (almost) no longer a shadow of a doubt that each of the future purchasers of iPhone 15 should be able to take advantage of the dynamic island. What’s more, Apple may manage to surprise us by introducing new ways to use Dynamic Island.

The video above also confirms that the iPhone 15 (right) has thicker edges than the iPhone 15 Pro (left) and iPhone 15 Pro Max (center). If Apple sticks to its traditions (and there is obviously no reason for that to change), it will lift the veil on its new range of iPhones during the month of September. Come on, only a few more months to wait!

Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max

  • Dynamic Island
  • Overall performance
  • Screen quality

Tim Cook usually concludes his presentation of a new iPhone by stating that it is the best ever. He’s absolutely right when he talks about the brilliant iPhone 14 Pro Max in so many ways. We appreciate the quality of its screen, the phenomenal computing power of the SoC A16 Bionic, the increased autonomy, and above all, the improvement of the photo and video parts, already powerful on the iPhone 13 Pro Max.

Dynamic Island is a great way to camouflage the hideous notch that sits on iPhone screens…and even make it acceptable. In the end, this gadget is more useful than futile, and we quickly appreciate its presence.

There remain the annoying points, such as the absence of an electrical adapter, the slow charging of the battery, and of course, the price. To afford the “best iPhone ever designed”, you will have to pay at least 1,479 euros for the 128 GB version, an increase of 220 euros compared to the 13 Pro Max. The 256 GB, 512 GB and 1 TB versions are offered at 1,609, 1,869 and 2,129 euros respectively, i.e. increases of 230, 260 and 290 euros compared to the iPhone 13 Pro Max of the same capacity.

The iPhone 14 Pro Max is undoubtedly a great product. But its price becomes a deterrent for most potential buyers. In its 1 TB version, it crosses the 2,000 euro mark, like Samsung and its Galaxy Z Fold 4 (2,159 euros). After all, if buyers are ready to pay such sums, manufacturers would be wrong to deprive themselves of it…
