Apple will introduce the new iPhone 14 models in autumn. Although the iPhone 14 Pro announces a completely new design with additional capabilities, Apple does not expect sales to increase significantly – there is a risk of a slump. Apple is very cautious about production for good reasons.
Apple will no longer produce iPhones for 2022
Analysts actually expected Apple to produce 240 million iPhones this year. That would be 20 million more than in 2021. There is also a reason for the positive development, because with the iPhone 14 Max and the new iPhone 14 Pro models, where a new pill design is to be used, you have expect much higher sales. Apple, on the other hand, should approach production much more cautiously and plan more cautiously. The company expects a small iPhone lull this year (source: Bloomberg).
There are good reasons why Apple is holding back on iPhone production this year. These include the high inflation, the war in Ukraine and supply chain problems. That’s why Apple is currently looking for alternatives to China. In general, many analysts expect the smartphone market to stagnate or weaken as more people choose to stick with their current model rather than buy a new phone. If Apple sells as many iPhones this year as it did last year, that would be a success.

In mid-September this year, Apple will probably introduce the iPhone 14, 14 Max, 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max. A new iPhone 14 mini is no longer expected as the current model has sold rather poorly.
