On Friday, a Boeing 737-9 Max had to make an emergency landing because part of the cabin wall broke off during the flight. The suction also pulled away an iPhone, which has now been found.
This story is almost unbelievable. Or what do you think would happen if you dropped a modern smartphone to the ground from a height of around 5,000 meters? Wouldn’t you also assume that it would shatter into a thousand pieces if it didn’t just land in the sea and sink? After all, even Apple’s new titanium iPhone cracks if it accidentally falls to the ground.

On the short message service X you can now see pictures of an Apple iPhone that “survived” the fall from the ill-fated Boeing last Friday. In the incident, large parts of the cabin wall were torn out during the flight, which caused a huge international stir and led to a temporary ban on flying such aircraft. People were also injured.
The high-altitude suction carried all sorts of material outside, including an iPhone that was stolen by a man in Washington state some time later found on the side of the road. The Apple smartphone looks almost new in the photos, is in a protective case and also has a screen protector. But it’s crazy: part of the charging cable was still plugged in! Apparently the suction was so strong that the cable broke.
Aside from that, the iPhone turned on and revealed information about the owner. Nevertheless, the phone was handed over to the responsible US authority, the National Transportation Safety Board, or NTSB for short. This stated that it was the second smartphone found from the ill-fated Boeing.
