New iPhones can traditionally be seen in September, but an Apple year like this has other more or less fixed dates. The WWDC developer conference usually takes place in June, and new iPad Pro models were on display in spring 2020 and 2021. An irregular star guest for the first half of the year is also the iPhone SE. Apple presented the current version of the budget iPhone in an unspectacular way in a press release in April 2020. The next generation should follow in 2022 – this time with more glamor.

iPhone SE 3 arrives in March or April
At least that’s what Mark Gurman from Bloomberg reports. Accordingly, the company is planning a product launch for March or April 2022. There are probably no viewers. Instead, as in the past year and a half, the show should take place virtually on stage.
There are few details about the iPhone SE 3 at the moment. Traditionally, Apple equips the affordable devices with powerful hardware. The iPhone SE 2 came with the A13 Bionic from the then current iPhone 11. If the new version with the A15 Bionic came from the iPhone 13, it would not be a surprise. Gurman also expects 5G support. You will have to do without a fresh design. Like its predecessor, the iPhone SE 3 should look like the iPhone 8. That would mean: 4.7-inch screen and home button with fingerprint sensor instead of face recognition and a “borderless” design. The price should be right for that. The current iPhone SE starts at 479 euros.
