Apple has just launched a very large order of OLED screens for its future generation of iPhone SE.

Apple would absolutely not have dropped its iPhone SE 4 project. And the plans are so much in the pipes of the Cupertino company that a major order has just been placed in order to equip the new generation of this range.

BOE, official supplier

So, iPhone SE 4, yes or no? This is a question that we could still ask there is little, so the rumors were contradictory. But where doubt hovered a few weeks ago, the latest information shows that this smartphone will indeed see the light of day. And moreover, not under any conditions.

Indeed, the iPhone SE 4 will be entitled for the first time to an OLED panel. And to equip these phones, the Californian company called on the Chinese giant BOE, which received a large order of 20 million units. A major contract, which represents a total of approximately 80 million dollars. Enough to prepare for its release, expected for 2024.

A better seller than the iPhone SE 3?

The screens supplied by BOE would be 6.1-inch panels, similar to those installed in the brand’s latest flash, the iPhone 14. A change for a model whose reason for living is to offer a more entry-level offer. Apple products, which therefore usually worked with an LCD screen. In terms of design, there would also be a bit of the iPhone 14, with thin and straight edges.

What to ensure a new success for the Cupertino company? Because the iPhone SE 3 had not had the success expected by specialists. The fault according to some to an outdated 4.7-inch format, in the era of large screens. Enlarging the size of the iPhone SE, plus a better quality product, would it be the solution? Maybe, but the price should also play a role!
