Apple is preparing for the start of the school year the launch of its new range of smartphones, the four devices of the iPhone 16 brand. But the Cupertino firm is also in full preparation of its future “low-cost” smartphone, the new generation of the iPhone SE, namely the iPhone SE 4. A phone that is starting to reveal itself with the leak of several important information.
The iPhone SE will be modernized
A new leak including the media Wccftech echo tells us that the iPhone SE 4 should get a facelift. And first in terms of format, since this smartphone will go from a 4.7-inch LCD screen to a 6.1-inch OLED screen.
But the major change would be the abandonment of the traditional home button, in which Touch ID resided. Instead, the iPhone SE 4 would be entitled to the functionality present in its more high-end smartphones for several years already, namely Face ID!
A price which should remain more or less stable
According to the leaker, Apple would like to avoid accompanying these new features with an excessively high price. He thus indicates that it should be marketed at less than 500 dollars, with even the possibility that it simply keeps the price of the iPhone SE 3, which is sold across the Atlantic at 429 dollars. On average, if there was an increase, it should not exceed +10%.
In France, the iPhone SE 3 is available in Apple Stores for 529 euros. If the decision mentioned above were to also apply to France, this smartphone, much more high-end than its predecessors, could at most be launched at around 579 euros. Enough to encourage all those who like a bit of an apple to choose an SE phone rather than any of the iPhone 16s?
