iPhone: This is how you suppress your phone number

If you don’t want your cell phone number to end up with call centers and other institutions, you can suppress it on your iPhone. This is how you use the function.

Once your cell phone number falls into someone else’s hands, it quickly ends up in dubious databases, from where it is sold to call centers and similar companies. Then you have to be prepared for annoying constant ringing. By suppressing your phone number on the iPhone, you prevent strangers from reading your number. This can be done via the settings of your cell phone or via a GSM code that you choose as a telephone number:

    If you would like to suppress your number for individual telephone calls, you can do this quickly and easily with a GSM code. To do this, first open your phone app and tap “Number pad” at the bottom.

    Give now #31# followed by the phone number and tap the green receiver. Now you call anonymously.
