Iranian justice has indicted nearly 800 people for their participation in “recent riotsin the southern province of Hormozgan, those of Isfahan and Markazi (center), according to Mizan, the agency of the Judicial Authority and local agencies.
More than 2,000 people have been charged, half of them in Tehran, since the protests began two months ago, according to figures provided by Iranian justice.

The director general of justice of the province of Hormozgan, quoted Sunday by Mizan, announced the indictment of 164 people “charged after recent security riotsin this province.
“On the sidelines of a visit to the detention center in the province of Hormozgan, the provincial head of justice, Mojtaba Ghahremani announced that 164 people detained during the recent unrest will be tried from Thursday, in the presence of their lawyers“said Mizan.
They are accused ofassembly and conspiracy against the security of the country», «propaganda against the regime», «disturbance of public order», «riots», «incitement to murder», «injuries to security guards” and “degradation of public goods»
In addition, Asadollah Jafari, director general of the Judicial Authority of the province of Isfahan (center) quoted Saturday evening by the Tasnim agency, reported 316 cases linked to recent riots. According to him, 12 accused have already been tried.
In addition, 276 people have been charged in Markazi province, according to Abdol-Mehdi Mousavi, director of justice in the province, quoted by the official Irna agency.
Iran has been the scene of protests since the September 16 death of Mahsa Amini, a 22-year-old Iranian Kurd, arrested three days earlier by vice police for violating the Islamic Republic’s strict dress code.
Iranian leaders mainly accuse the United States, Iran’s sworn enemy, of being behind these protests which they describe as “riots“.
