Oct 29 (Reuters) – The commander-in-chief of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards, General Hossein Salami, has warned against any public demonstrations, saying this Saturday will be “the last day of riots”.
“Don’t take to the streets! Today is the last day of the riots,” he said.
Demonstrations against power have multiplied in recent weeks in Iran after the death in custody in mid-September of Mahsa Amini, a 22-year-old woman arrested for wearing a veil deemed illegal. (Dubai office report, French version Marc Angrand)
