At least three Yazidi fighters affiliated with the PKK rebels were killed on Monday in northern Iraq by a drone strike attributed to the Turkish army, announced the counter-terrorist services of Iraqi Kurdistan in a press release.
A “commanding officerof the Sinjar Resistance Units andtwo fighters“were killed by”a Turkish army drone that targeted the vehicletransporting them to the Sinjar region, a stronghold of the Yazidi minority, according to the official statement. This group is allied with the Turkish Kurdish rebels of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK).
