Irina Shayk: For the first time, she is talking about her separation from Bradley Cooper

Irina Shayk (34) does not like to talk about her private life. If you are constantly in public at work, it is nice to have relationships and family all to yourself, she said in an interview in early 2019. The model has now made an exception for the British "Vogue" and has commented on the separation of actor Bradley Cooper (45, "A Star is Born") for the first time. The couple made this public in June 2019.

"In every respect, you show your best and worst sides, that's how people are predisposed," says Shayk about their four-year partnership with the actor, from which their daughter Lea (2) emerged. The ex-couple shares custody. "Just because two people are great doesn't mean they make a good couple."

It doesn't seem easy

She appreciates the time she spent with Cooper. To live without "B", as she calls him, is a completely new, strange experience and certainly not always easy, because Shayk has a busy schedule both as a model and as a mother. "Believe me, there are days when I wake up and think, 'Oh my god, I don't know what to do, I'm going to break down,'" admits the 34-year-old, who mainly lives in New York, while Cooper lives in Los Angeles.

It also seems to have become emotional during the interview. In an Instagram post, the model thanked "Vogue" editor-in-chief Edward Enninful. "Thank you for always making me laugh, even though I felt like crying during the interview."
