On the boys' side, the first names Léo (lion in Latin), Loup or even Como (relating to the cosmos), would be popular.
Also expect to see some Zéphir, Automne, Aubépine or Syrius. Although little known, these names with new sounds could win the love of parents-to-be, according to the book. "They will not be given on a massive scale, of course, but our statistical projections detect the arrival of these first names almost never attributed in recent years," says Stéphanie Rapoport.
Old and short names
Also according to L’Officiel des prenoms, short names are still very popular, especially those ending in "a" (Léa, Mia …) and "o" (Enzo, Hugo …).
