Since its release, the romantic comedy Irish Wish, led by Lindsay Lohan, has occupied the top of the Netflix rankings – in France, it has taken first place. The film marks a new success for the actress – who signed a three feature film contract with the platform – and enters the Top 10 in 86 countries around the world.
Filmed in Ireland, but where exactly?

Even though Irish Wish does not have any Irish actors in its cast, the team actually filmed on the Emerald Isle, more specifically in Wicklow, on the east coast, a county renowned for its immense wastelands and its magnificent greenery.
The scene during which Maddie (Lindsay Lohan) expresses her wish was filmed in Lough Tay. This space is, unfortunately, not open to the public since it belongs to the Guinness family, one of the most powerful Irish families.

The same settings as Harry Potter
The majestic Kennedy home, where Maddie is staying for the wedding ceremony, is also located in County Wicklow in Killruddery House, a 17th century building straight out of the Bridgerton universe. Other scenes were also filmed at the Powerscourt property surrounded by a 19 hectare garden.
When Maddie and James (Ed Speleers) look for the perfect location for wedding photos, they find themselves in the Cliffs of Moher. This impressive and oh so cinematic place has been filmed many times in the cinema, such as in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. As for the small town visible in the film, it is located in Westport, a very touristy place with its many bridges and its typically Irish houses.
