The corona pandemic is putting Iron Maiden in a line of concert planning. Fans in Germany will be put off until summer 2022.

Fans of Iron Maiden (“Run to the Hills”) have to be patient. As the British heavy metal band announced on Tuesday (April 13th), their European tour “Legacy of the Beast” will not take place as planned this summer. The reason is the ongoing restrictions due to the corona pandemic. The dates in June and July will be postponed to 2022. All tickets remain valid.

For metal fans in Germany that means: You won’t get to see Iron Maiden in Cologne until July 2, 2022 at the earliest. The band will play other concerts in Berlin (July 4th), Stuttgart (July 9th), Bremen (July 20th) and Frankfurt (July 26th). “As we all know, there is realistically no alternative”, writes band manager Rod Smallwood (71) on Instagram. “So we’ll all make the best of it and spend the time preparing for a very memorable and even more spectacular Legacy Tour next year. We promise!”
