If we had had a few noises from the corridors announcing a potential game dedicated to the character of Iron Man, it is now certain: Electronic Arts just made Marvel’s Iron Man official. Unfortunately, at the time of this writing we don’t have much information on the latter, but here’s what you need to know for now.
Electronic Arts formalizes its Iron Man game
So here is great news for Marvel fans and all of its universe. After meeting the fine team through the title of Square Enix, namely Marvel’s Avengers, or even more recently Spider-Man Miles Morales on PlayStation, and Marvel’s Midnight Suns by 2K Games which should be released at the end of 2022, c It is therefore the turn of Electronic Arts to offer its title coming straight from the Marvel universe with Marvel’s Iron Man.
According to the words of the studio on its official website, the iron man game is still in its infancy and is therefore currently “in early development“. Besides, it still doesn’t have an official title. Nevertheless, we already know that we will be dealing with a third-person action game, like Marvel’s Spider-Man titles, with a “original storytelling that will draw on Iron Man’s rich history, channeling the complexity, charisma and creative genius of Tony Stark“.
EA Motive at the controls of the game Iron Man
For the development of this new Iron Man project, Electronic Arts has announced that it is therefore in the hands of the EA Motive studio that the magic will take placethe studio to which we owe Star Wars: Squadrons, and the whole thing will be led by none other than Olivier Proulx who worked on Guardians of the Galaxy.
As you can imagine, and as EA has indicated, at the time of writing the game Iron Man still does not have a release window, nor even a trailer, and we do not know also not on which platforms it will be available or not. We will have to take our troubles patiently before discovering more about this game which, we hope, will live up to the character.
