“Live for downtown” brings many festivals and the Ironman.
Summer in St. Veit offers a colorful variety of events. More than 60 music and cultural events take place on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays as part of the “Delight in the city centre”. There are other events as well. It starts on Monday: Gerd Kaltschütz comes with “Bungee” for a whole week and starts the jumping fun on the main square. On Tuesday, the rock classics of the seventies and eighties are brought back to life. The town band will play on Wednesday and author Roland Zingerle will read on Friday. The bike course of the Carinthia Ironman leads through St. Veit. The 50-year town twinning with Haltern am See (D) is also celebrated, the civil and rifle guards make an appearance.
