This study reveals to us what ChatGPT is worth compared to humans
A study conducted by researchers at the University of Arkansas, challenged GPT-4 against 151 human participants through various tests of creativity. These tests include the Alternative Uses Task, where participants must find different uses for a common object, and the Divergent Associations Task, which requires linking seemingly unconnected words. The results revealed that ChatGPT surpassed humans in terms of originality and detail in his responses, suggesting a higher creative potential. However, the authors of the study warn that despite its originality, artificial intelligence was not not necessarily more relevant or practical in its proposals, recalling that its autonomy remains framed by human input.
