A few days before the presentation of theiPhone 14Samsung has just posted a short video touting the new features of its latest smartphones.

Samsung has a habit of teasing Apple before each product launch from its competitor and proves it once again with this video.

Samsung pays the pear of Apple, like almost every year

Black background, deep voice, dramatic music. The clip begins like many Apple videos presenting its products with all the emphasis that the Californian brand can demonstrate. Only, the narrator of our clip of the day is a bit ironic and gently mocks the lack of innovation of his rival.

Here is the full text of the video: Buckle up for Apple’s latest launch as you enter a world where all heads will turn, but not in your direction. Where the highest resolution camera on a smartphone will be in someone else’s pocket. Where that epic photo of the Moon that garners all the likes won’t be yours. Because this innovation is not coming anytime soon to an iPhone near you. She’s already here in the galaxy ».

As you will have understood, Samsung is taking advantage of the expectation generated by the Apple event, organized this Wednesday, September 7, to boast of its latest folding smartphone, namely the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 but also the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra and the technological debauchery integrated into these two devices.

A fun but sometimes risky strategy

This is not the first time that Samsung has mocked its direct competitor. We remember in particular a campaign targeting the iPhone X in 2017 in which all customers queuing in front of an Apple Store had a lock on their forehead similar to the notch of the recently announced smartphone. The brand had also targeted the disappearance of the jack port on the iPhone 7.

Let’s be honest, the little “squabbles” between companies are often spicy and make us smile between two smartphone presentations. A strategy that is not without risk, Samsung has sometimes tripped over the carpet with its campaigns and had to face some backlash.

If the brand made fun of its competitor for the withdrawal of the port jack, it finally followed it very quickly by withdrawing it in turn a few months later. This had not failed to be spotted by fans of the Apple brand.

Worse still, a few years after splitting a teasing advertisement on the very low autonomy of the iPhone 5, Samsung had to face one of the worst crises in its history with the Samsung Galaxy battery case. Note 7 exploding. Stop laughing.

Apple for its part, lives in its bubble. The company does not comment on or parody the products and services of its competitors in order to avoid bad buzz in the event of a manufacturing problem on one of these devices.
