Is Stardew Valley cross-save?

Considered one of the best so-called games wholesome games “, Stardew Valley is a title developed by Éric Baronne. First released in 2016 on PC, the software was subsequently made available on most gaming platforms. So much so that Stardew Valley is now available on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and smartphones (iOS and Android).

Moreover, many people had previously started the adventure on a very specific platform and would now like to continue it on another machine. But is Stardew Valley cross-save or cross-progression?

Stardew Valley, cross-save available?

First of all, remember that the so-called “cross-save” feature, also called cross-progression, allows players to recover their save(s) from a very specific platform in order to import them into another version of a game. This then allows you to keep your progress intact and not lose your advancement. A multitude of games support cross-saving, such as Genshin Impact or even of Destiny 2to cite just two examples.

But is this the case with Stardew Valley? Stardew Valley does not offer cross-saving for all platforms. Cross-saving is only possible between PC and smartphones (iOS and Android). Handling can be quite painful, because you will have to dig into the game files on your computer. Then connect your phone to your PC. On the other hand, it is impossible to recover its backups in order to import them to a PlayStation console (except the PS Vita) or Xbox. Which is quite a shame, in and of itself.

Moreover, Éric Baronne did not communicate on this subject and we do not know if the functionality will arrive in a more complete and generalized way one day.
