LIs Russia preparing to invade Ukraine? Vladimir Putin, in his river press conference on Thursday, maintained the ambiguity on the question which has agitated Western strategists for weeks. “It is not our choice, we do not want it”, defended the Russian president. But he did not rule out being forced to act if Joe Biden’s United States did not respond positively to his demand that NATO formally undertakes to no longer extend eastward. “You must give us security guarantees, immediately, now,” he insisted.
