ESC acts conquer the single charts

Four acts from the ESC environment, including Isaak, can place themselves in the top 50 of the German single charts this week.
Although it’s not enough for top rankings, after this year’s Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) place four acts from the competition’s environment in the top 50 of the Official German Single Charts, determined by GfK Entertainment. Nemo, 24, took the trophy to Switzerland this year with “The Code”. The ESC winning act can be found in 14th place in the charts. Germany’s representative Isaak, 29, who took twelfth place at the music event, follows in 22nd place with “Always On The Run”. Baby Lasagna, 28, from Croatia, who came second at the ESC, ends up in 50th place with “Rim Tim Tagi Dim”. .
Before the ESC competition, the Dutchman Joost Klein, 26, can place 13th with “Europapa”. Klein was initially scheduled to appear in the final of the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö, but was excluded from the ongoing competition in Malmö a few hours earlier by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU).
There is also some movement in the top five of the single charts. Ayliva, 26, and Apache 207, 26, remain at number one with “Wunder” and Artemas, 24, with “I Like The Way You Kiss Me” are in second place, “Pedro” by Jaxomy, 28, Agatino Romero and Raffaella However, Carrà (1943-2021) moves up one place to three. Australian DJ Cyril climbs from fifth to fourth with “Stumblin’ In” and “Vempa” by Fourty, 28, and Bausa, 35, jumps from ninth to fifth.
Taylor Swift back on the album throne
In terms of albums, world star Taylor Swift, 34, returns from fourth place to the top with her record “The Tortured Poets Department”. This means she pushes last week’s winner Reinhard Mey, 81, into second place with his album “Nach Haus”. The Calimeros enter third place with “Shalala” – ahead of the Kings of Leon, who chart at number four with “Can We Please Have Fun”. The Kelly Family landed in fifth place with the newly released recording “Tough Road – Live At Westfalennhalle ’94”.
