Isère Military in civilian clothes targeted by gunfire in Besançon: a teenager arrested in Bourgoin-Jallieu


A 15-year-old boy, suspected of having fired several shots at soldiers from Operation Sentinel who were in civilian clothes and who were leaving a nightclub in Besançon on Saturday June 18, was arrested in Isère, reports Le Dauphiné Released.

The soldiers were walking back to their garrison when they were the target of a gunman who got out of a car and opened fire three times, hitting one of the soldiers in the arm, before fleeing with his accomplices.

The investigation had already led to the arrest of a first suspect underlines L’Est Républicain. “The evening went well, according to them. We don’t know why the soldiers were targeted, ”said the investigators the day after the facts which had occurred in a dimly lit area, without video surveillance, about 300 meters from the nightclub.

This second arrest took place in the context of a completely different case. The young individual was arrested while he was a passenger in a vehicle that refused a police check. The vehicle traveling up to 130 km / h in the streets of downtown Bourgoin-Jallieu, failing to hit other vehicles, puncturing a tire against a sidewalk, before crashing into an embankment.
