Isère Nordahl Lelandais left the prison of Saint-Quentin-Fallavier

Nordahl Lelandais left this Thursday the penitentiary center of Saint-Quentin-Fallavier (Isère), report our colleagues from Dauphine Libere. The murderer of Arthur Noyer and little Maëlys de Araujo had been detained there since September 14, 2017.

He was transferred by police van to Aix-en-Provence (Bouches-du-Rhône), to the national evaluation center of Aix-Luynes.

A six-week assessment

The one who was sentenced to life imprisonment with a security period of 22 years for the kidnapping and murder of Maëlys, and 20 years in prison for that of Corporal Noyer, must serve his sentence in a central house (Editor’s note: a penal establishment receiving long-term prisoners). In Aix-en-Provence, Nordahl Lelandais will thus be assessed by a multidisciplinary team for six weeks in order to develop his sentence execution plan, explains The Dauphine Libere. At the end of this evaluation session, the management of the prison administration will make an assignment decision.

The detention of the former dog handler in Saint-Quentin-Fallavier was punctuated by a few incidents, recalls The Dauphine Libere. Recently, he had notably been surprised in full sexual intercourse in the visiting room with a woman with whom he had a love correspondence.
