The targets of the attacks are believed to have been Christmas services in Cologne, Vienna and Madrid. The Cologne Cathedral and St. Stephen’s Cathedral are in the sights. In Cologne there was a search after the evening mass to ensure that no dangerous items were kept in the church. Explosives detection dogs were also used, the police reported.
