On Europe 1, Benjamin Haddad, MP for the 14th constituency of Paris, spoke about Rima Hassan’s presence during a trip to Jordan, at a pro-Palestinian demonstration. Some of the demonstrators were paying tribute to Ismail Haniyeh, the political leader of Hamas who was assassinated on July 31 in Tehran.

Invited for the Grande interview, Benjamin Haddad, deputy of the 14th constituency of Paris, returned to the presence of Rima Hassan during a trip to Jordan, at a pro-Palestinian demonstration. Some of the demonstrators were paying tribute to Ismail Haniyeh, political leader of Hamas assassinated on July 31 in Tehran. He considers this presence intolerable and declares that “Rima Hassan is accustomed to violent anti-Zionist statements”.

Support for François-Xavier Bellamy and Caroline Yadan

According to the MP, Rima Hassan “multiplies this type of provocation”. He supports the complaint of François-Xavier Bellamy, LR MP, against the LFI MEP. He accuses her of having “named him for the vindictiveness of Islamist circles” on social networks. She has also taken legal action for “defamation”.

Benjamin Haddad also declared that he supported the approach of Caroline Yadan, Ensemble MP for the 8th constituency of French people abroad. The latter requested that the immunity of the rebel be lifted. In a post published on X, she assured that she wanted to “personally” take charge of reporting to the Prosecutor for “incitement to racial hatred and apology for terrorism” and of requesting sanctions against “the one who constantly supports Hamas”.

In a publication published on Tuesday, August 20, Rima Hassan speaks of “fake news” and denies having participated “in a tribute to one of the leaders of Hamas”. “In Amann, since October, a demonstration has been held every Friday in support of Gaza, because it is the day of rest, explains the elected representative of La France Insoumise. This is not the first Friday demonstration in which I participate since I lived in Amann before the elections”.
