This mission, described as “relatively important”, announces the launch of a much more massive attack, according to the Tsahal, the Israeli army.
A large-scale operation took place last night from Wednesday to Thursday according to the IDF, the Israeli army, in the Gaza Strip in Palestine. The ground troops were accompanied by tanks, which led to the mission being described as “relatively important”, before the launch of a much more massive attack. The aim was therefore to strike Hamas terrorist cells, which the Israeli army confirmed this Thursday morning to the international press, by announcing the destruction of missile launch sites before the withdrawal of its troops.
On the left and right, the Israeli press criticizes
Benjamin Netanyahu says the IDF has already eliminated more than 1,000 terrorists since the start of the war 20 days ago. If Emmanuel Macron had considered that this land operation in Gaza would be a mistake, the Israeli Prime Minister did not take it into account. The President of the Republic’s diplomatic tour of the Middle East will therefore not have brought about the expected appeasement and the initiation of a peace process. The “at the same time” strategy put forward by the French president is not successful.
The left-wing press in Israel, like the newspaper Haaretz, wonders why Emmanuel Macron is talking to Benjamin Netanyahu who is completely discredited and accused by his fellow citizens of having dragged the country into this spiral of violence. On the right, we wonder about the point of discussing with Mahmoud Abbas, who constantly accuses Israel of massacring civilians. It is the same for the Arab press, where only images of the bombings and the victims make the front page.
