“Israel is a nation attacked since its origin by countries that want its destruction and the annihilation of Jewish sovereignty”

HASfter the sadistic massacres perpetrated by Hamas in Israel on October 7, the speeches were once again put in place to castigate the victim and transform them into executioners. The compassion will not last long.

However, the wild fanaticism that animated the Hamas assassins is a cataclysm that should have shaken routine anti-Zionists. When we torture parents in front of their children before burning them alive and massacring infants, we are no longer in the political field. Daring to disguise this as legitimate resistance reveals a particular abjection of anti-Zionist ideology and reveals its true face.

From the theological reproach making them the murderers of Jesus to the diagnosis of racial defect, including the accusation of ritual murder and poisoning of wells, Jews are the persistent target of ontological defamation. This is the eternal lot of the Jews: we always find good reasons to attack them. This unquenchable appetite for Judeophobic animosity is embodied today in a principled political disapproval that dooms Israel to denigration. The basis of the accusation against Israel really comes down to little, other than its repetition which ended up demonizing the very mention of it.

The “two-state solution” already achieved

However, Israel is not an “apartheid state”: it is one of the most multicultural nations in existence, and where Pro-Arab parties can sit in Parliament.

Israel is not “colonial” or “imperialist”: it is a territorial confetti twice the size of Ile-de-France, surrounded by hostile powers who want its disappearance. The Jewish national home promised in 1917 (Balfour Declaration) and by the League of Nations in 1920 (Treaty of San Remo) was much larger in scope. Great Britain took advantage of its mandate to remove part of it and create Jordan: the “two-state solution” has therefore already been achieved and the Islamic camp never presents Jordan as an “occupier”.

Moreover, the West Bank/Judea and Samaria, occupied by Jordan (1948-1967), was not the subject of a “Palestinian” national claim either. When Gaza was in the hands of Egypt (1948-1967), it was not accused of occupation and expansionism either: these accusations only applied to the Jewish presence.

Israel is a nation attacked since its origin – in 1948, 1967, 1973 – by countries that want its destruction and the annihilation of Jewish sovereignty. October 7 showed us the bloody reality of this project, driven by radical hatred, devoid of political content, without the slightest positive ambition for the Arab populations. One can imagine what would happen in the event of Israel’s military defeat on a national scale.
