Israeli airstrike in Jenin


RAMALLAH, West Bank, May 17 (Reuters) – An Israeli airstrike killed at least one person and injured eight on Friday in the Palestinian refugee camp of Jenin in the occupied West Bank, the Israeli army and the Palestinian Health Ministry said .

The Israeli army said the strike was carried out by a fighter jet, which is rare in the West Bank.

According to residents of the refugee camp, a house was targeted. The identity of the victims of the strike is not yet known.
