While planning to propose to Eliott in “Here it all begins”, Greg will be offered a job as a chef in Tokyo. And according to an extract unveiled by TF1, it would seem that his departure is imminent. Will Eliott accompany him?
Should Here It All Begins fans prepare to say goodbye to the show’s most iconic couple?
After a brief separation which fortunately did not last, Greg (Mikael Mittelstadt) and Eliott (Nicolas Anselmo) finally found each other and seem happier than ever. As proof, determined to spend his life with his companion, Greg will even announce to Jasmine in tonight’s episode that he intends to ask Eliott in marriage!
But an unexpected proposal will turn everything upside down: in the episode which will be broadcast this Monday, December 26 on TF1, Benoît Delobel (Joseph Malerba) will make an offer that his son cannot refuse: he would like him to take charge of the opening of his new restaurant in Tokyo and that he take charge of the establishment for a whole year.
Greg remains speechless at this announcement and understands that his father gave him a life-size test by entrusting him with the institute’s Christmas menu.
So, will Greg accept and leave Calvières for Tokyo? If we are to believe a new unpublished extract from Here it all begins unveiled in preview by TF1, it would seem that the answer is “yes”.
Are Greg and Eliott going to Japan?
In the video in question, Greg discusses his future with Teyssier (Benjamin Baroche) and Antoine (Frédéric Diefenthal). The director and the principal of the institute do not wish to penalize the school curriculum of the young man and have found a solution to let him go to Tokyo and allow him to validate his diploma remotely.
“Exceptionally we will create an equivalence”explains Antoine Myriel to the Delobel son. “We will take into account the experience you have acquired as a chef. That is what we will evaluate you on”.
“On one Delobel condition: I want you to be a hit in Tokyo”adds Emmanuel Teyssier who, true to his temperament, wants to see his students give the best of themselves. “I want your name in the ranking of the best chefs of the year. Show yourself worthy of the institute and your surname”.
Everything seems ready to let Greg go away from the institute. But the third year student does not seem to conceive of his new life in Tokyo without Eliott. And he lets Teyssier and Antoine know, who do not really welcome this news with enthusiasm.

“What if Eliott accompanied me to Tokyo? I was planning to offer him a place as second”, admits Greg, who hopes that the course of the man of his life can also be arranged. But that’s not the case: Antoine makes him understand that he won’t be able to create an equivalence for Eliott. Especially since, as Teyssier points out, Eliott also has rather exciting plans for the future.
“Prevost has things to do here. Do you realize what it means for him to be at the head of the first nomadic restaurant attached to a culinary institute? If he manages to develop it, and I trust him, he will go out like never before”launches Teyssier to Greg in reference to the idea of a nomadic restaurant that he will submit to Eliott in the next episodes of Here it all begins.
And for Emmanuel, it’s certain, Eliott’s future is not in Tokyo with “an unfinished course and a work of submissive under the orders of Greg”.
“The question you have to ask yourself is: do you really want to take the risk that he will drop everything for you?”explains Antoine to Greg, who seems more lost than ever faced with the choices that present themselves to him.
Will he offer Eliott to follow him to Japan? Greg and Eliott, who are among the public’s favorite characters, will they leave Calvières and the series? If so, will these departures be temporary? Or will Greg realize he can’t ask Eliott to give up on his dreams and plans? Leading them inevitably to a new separation?
Answer in the sequel to Here it all starts on TF1 and on Salto. But one thing is certain: the end-of-year celebrations are not going to be easy at the Auguste Armand Institute!
