While the plot devoted to the dilemma of Enzo (Azize Diabate) will come to an end tomorrow in Here it all begins, TF1’s culinary soap opera will go into back-to-school mode on Monday with the start of the entrance examination and the arrival of many new aspiring chefs at the Auguste Armand Institute.
The new promo for season 4 of Here it all begins will thus be composed of new faces, including Léonard (Thomas Vilan), Maya (Alexandra Favalli), or Jim (Loan Becmont), the eldest son of Marc Leroy who will make a strong impression. in the locker room. But it will also include a character well known to fans since Souleymane will abandon the vegetable garden to get into the kitchen too.
A new vocation which Dembo Camilo, his interpreter, did not necessarily expect, but which makes sense in the evolution of the character, who has learned a lot thanks to his work in the vegetable garden, has developed a love for vegetables and aromatic herbs, and for more than a year and a half now has been watching his comrades give the best of themselves in the kitchen.
“It’s not an evolution for Souleymane that we’ve been talking about for a long time with the production, it came quite suddenly”explained Dembo Camilo to us about the new challenge of his character, who will pass the institute entrance exam on Monday. “I’m delighted to leave the vegetable garden, and quite excited to find out what awaits Souleymane next. It’s the start of a new adventure for me, with lots of new twists. And I’m going to be able to play with lots of new actors, it’s great”.
“There was not really a trigger that made Souleymane want to take the competition. It happened little by little, since he supplied the Institute with fruits and vegetables. Seeing his comrades cook, or ask him for advice on the associations they could make with such and such a vegetable, he wanted to do like them and try his luck”.
How will Antoine react when he discovers that Souleymane wants to join the institute?
For a few episodes now, viewers of Here it all begins have been in the confidence of the secret of Souleymane, who is preparing for the competition with the help of Hortense (Catherine Davydzenka). “I did not expect it at all but I am delighted that it is Hortense who coaches him”says Dembo Camilo. “He’s a very popular character with the general public and I really like their association. And it was an opportunity for me to play with Catherine, with whom I hadn’t really shot before. We had some really owls together”.
If Souleymane trains in secret with Hortense, it’s because he doesn’t want Antoine (Frédéric Diefenthal), his father, to know about his new life goal.

“Antoine is a bit of a daddy, he’s really on his son’s back whatever he does. Every time he wants to embark on a new project, he always puts a lot of pressure on him”explains the interpreter of Souleymane about this sometimes conflicting father-son relationship. “It’s normal for Antoine to worry, but he’s too protective, it tends to annoy Souleymane”.
Just before the start of the entrance exams, Antoine will eventually discover that his son is one of the candidates. And if he will obviously be disappointed that his son has chosen to lie to him, things should end up getting back to normal if we are to believe the revelations of Dembo Camilo: “It will create small tensions, but in the end it will do”.
Entrance exam, friendship, love… What do the next episodes have in store for Souleymane?
The entrance exam, which will also allow us to meet Malik, Carla, Pénélope, and Bérénice, Constance’s half-sister, will punctuate the episodes of Here it all begins, which will be broadcast throughout next week on TF1. Will Souleymane be up to it? Will he pass the tests with flying colors? It will obviously not be an easy task, if we are to believe the confidences of his interpreter.
“We saw it last year, with the lasagna that he totally missed, Souleymane is really not at the basic level in terms of cooking. Hence the coaching with Hortense who will help him a lot. But Souleymane Feels a lot of pressure at the start of the competition. He is probably more comfortable than the others because he already knows the school and the students. But it’s still a real challenge. It’s a mixture of pressure, stress and above all of apprehension. He does not want to disappoint”.

The rest of the series will also be placed under the sign of friendship for Antoine’s son, who will be part of the new class and will follow the institute’s first-year teaching alongside Jim, Malik, Carla or Maya again. “Souleymane went out with Deva, but he never really made strong friendships with the other characters in Here it all begins”admits Dembo Camilo before teasing a new pair that should emerge within the promo and not go unnoticed.
“There, this year, he will create a real group of friends, it will be his promotion. They will live a lot of twists and turns together. Souleymane will in particular bind a strong friendship with Malik, it will be a good pair. The two little idiots of the group (laughs)”.
Malik (Oscar Al Hafiane) who is going to land in Calvières and at the institute to meet Ophélie, with whom he has discussed a lot on a dating application and who actually happens to be Ambre (Claire Romain). There is no doubt that Malik will need the advice of his new friend in order to see more clearly in this whole story. But what about Souleymane? Is a new love story to be expected?
“I have no idea, really”admits Dembo Camilo. “For the moment we are focusing on the competition and on the start of the school year, that’s already not bad. We’ll see if a new relationship comes up later, but that’s not what interests me the most”.
