The iPhone 14 is officially making a name for itself even before the official release. This is suggested by an entry by an Indian authority.

- A previously unknown Apple cell phone is listed in the Indian approval authority BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards).
- The smartphone is listed here under the name “A2882”.
- The iPhone 13 carries the codes A2482, A2631, A2634, A2635 and A2633.
This year, Apple could hold the September event earlier than expected – and you could probably hold the iPhone 14 in your hands sooner than expected. Another piece of the puzzle for the release is now available from India.
According to the MySmartPrice site, the BIS approval authority is said to have a previously unknown Apple cell phone under the code A2882. A code of this type is typical for Apple phones. It is probably the standard version of the iPhone 14. Apple is rumored to be launching four models in 2022, but despite leaks to the contrary, there will probably not be an iPhone 14 Mini.
Database entries of this type appear every year immediately before the release of a new smartphone. That was also the case with the iPhone 13 in August last year. As Bloomberg reports, Apple will also have the iPhone 14 series produced in India. The database entry matches this.
