A white march was organized this Saturday in Thiais in the Val de Marne to pay tribute to the young Tidiane, 16, killed last Monday in front of his high school. The participants expressed their sadness and bewilderment at this tragedy. Some also mention their concern for the safety of their children.

This Saturday in Thiais in the Val de Marne, a white march was organized in honor of the young Tidiane, 16, who was stabbed to death last Monday in front of his high school. 1,500 people dressed in white and wearing a T-shirt flanked by the inscription “Everything for Tidiane” took part.
For Bielko, who knew the young man very well, it was important to come and pay him a last tribute. “He was a very calm child, very composed and very polite. Sometimes when he was at home and he saw you with groceries, he took the bag from you to take it home. My pain is very deep , it’s as if I lost a son”.
“Won’t there be retaliation?”
For her part, Murielle holds a white rose in her hands and cannot help but be afraid for her two children who attend the same high school as the teenager killed. “It could have been mine. It’s very difficult, what will become of the little ones? Won’t there be reprisals? How are we going to walk quietly? I’m scared, because I’m alone with my children”, she testifies in tears.
Affected by this tragedy, the inhabitants of Thiais came in large numbers this Saturday. A massive presence that moves Mina, Tidiane’s sister. “It could have been anyone. We didn’t think so many people would come. Thank you very much from the bottom of my heart,” she cried in tears to the crowd. Despite the tears invading her face, Mina finishes her speech: “Tidiane must be the last”.
