Relaxed, smiling, and full of humor, she began her career in the cult series A boy a girl, in which she brilliantly played the role of Alex, known as “Chouchou”. Since then, she has diversified her roles, oscillating between popular comedies and dramas, and even ventured into directing in 2022 with the TV movie Touched, broadcast on TF1. Although his talent is now undeniable, this was not always the case. In an interview given to Shepublished recently, she shared an experience where a friend of her mother inflicted a deep wound on her, which she still remembers today.
At the time, young Alexandra Lamy, aged 15, had just been accepted into the Conservatory of Dramatic Arts. It was then that one of her mother’s ENT friends told her this scathing sentence: “With your voice, you will never be able to do theater”,referring to his voice which is deeper than average, slightly broken, due to a veil on the vocal cords, as recalled by our colleagues. This remark deeply marked and hurt the young teenager. : “It blew me away. I cried all the tears in my body”,she confided, adding angrily: “What right do you have to throw around something like that? a 15 year old girl living her dream ? I never gave up, I’m half Cévennes, half Breton, that makes for some tough heads!”

And indeed, Alexandra Lamy is not a woman to let things happen.
