Pierrot, a speaker on the testimonial program Ça commence today, presented on France 2 by Faustine Bollaert, explains that the channel would have forbidden him to mention the name of comedian Rémi Gaillard. It was a video of the latter that allowed Pierrot to get out of the street, a life experience he was invited to tell about on the show.

Does France 2 have a problem with Rémi Gaillard? A controversy erupted between the comedian and the show It begins today, presented by Faustine Bollaert. The case began with a tweet from Pierrot, a man who appeared on an issue of the testimonial show that aired last week. On the set, Pierrot said that he had managed to get out of the street thanks to a video where he denounced the situation of the homeless during the first confinement.

After the broadcast of this program, Pierrot published a tweet in which he thanked Rémi Gaillard for helping him get out of the street. He also specifies that France 2 expressly asked him not to mention the name of the comedian, under penalty of cutting it off during the editing.

A call to have the tweet deleted

A tweet that greatly displeased the show’s team, since the editor-in-chief then contacted Pierrot again to ask him to delete his publication. This conversation, recorded without the knowledge of the editor-in-chief, was broadcast on social networks.

The show’s teams then responded to Rémi Gaillard on Twitter, thanking him for his help with Pierrot. While specifying that they preferred to leave more room for on-air testimonials than for thanks.
