Released in March 2021, It Takes Two continues its rise in the world of cooperative adventure game lovers. Last February, the Hazelight studio announced, via its twitter account, that it had reached the 5 million copies of It Takes Two sold. It seems that the game is not over yet since 5 months later, it has recorded 2 million additional sales. For a total of 7 million copies sold.
A great success for the Swedish studio, but which is not surprising either. Voted game of the year at the Game Awards 2021, It Takes Two has gradually become one of the main references for players wishing to embark on a duo adventure.
A success which, let us remember, led Amazon Studios to take an interest in adventure games. A film adaptation is already planned, co-produced by Amazon, dj2 Entertainment and Seven Bucks Productions.
For those who have missed the phenomenon, It Takes Two tells us the story of May and Cody, a couple on the verge of separation. This is without counting their daughter Rose who, with the help of a mysterious magic book called Doctor Hakim, will cast a spell on them transforming them into rag dolls.
