“It was a bit much for him”

Mr. Tobias Findeisen, Mr. Michael Werner, you work at the southern police department in Brandenburg, in the video surveillance task force, and you have a 17-year-old Porsche driver with you on the A13 in southern Brandenburg, who was driving with his mother in the passenger seat as part of the accompanied driving 219 kilometers per hour – where 120 km/h were allowed. How did he react?

Findeisen: He acted very surprised. I have to say he overtook us in our civilian patrol car and then we recorded the night drive and filmed the whole thing. When we follow a vehicle driver, we initially only see our own driving speed, so we try to drive just as fast as the other. In that case we had to follow at 220 to keep an eye on him – and he still pulled us slightly away. The later evaluation then showed that he drove 190 km/h including tolerances.
