“It was great !” : Prince Harry confides in his appointment on the sly with Elizabeth II

On April 13, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry paid a surprise visit to Queen Elizabeth II. And this Monday, April 18, the Duke of Sussex returned to this meeting, the first since the couple renounced their royal duties to go into exile in the United States.

A successful visit. This Monday, April 18, the prince harry gave some details about his meeting with Queen Elizabeth II, to whom he paid a surprise visit on April 13 in the United Kingdom. Accompanied by his wife Meghan Markle, the couple meet with the monarch as well as Prince Charles at Windsor Castle, a few days before the start of the Invictus Games.

“It was great to see her”, said Prince Harry when asked by the BBC, adding that his grandmother would “really enjoyed being there” for the competition organized for soldiers and veterans injured in war. “She had loads of messages for the UK team, which I have already passed on to most of them.”continued the Duke of Sussex.

Harry and Meghan present for the Jubilee of Elizabeth II?

According to the Mirror, citing sources specializing in royalty, the meeting took place in a “cordial” and “incredibly warm”. Harry and Meghan reportedly indicated that they could even soon participate in the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee which will be held next June. For the occasion, they could come with their two children. But their arrival would not be particularly well seen by the entire royal family. Indeed, according to the Sun, the queen would be eager to see the whole little family, but several members of the royal family would fear that the arrival of Harry and Meghan would overshadow the event in honor of Elizabeth II. “They don’t want this to become Harry and Meghan’s show. Charles and the whole family are in agreement on this point”a source told the tabloid.

The couple, who now live in the United States, had not seen the Queen in private since choosing to step down from royal duties. Only Harry had made the trip to Prince Philip’s funeral in April 2021. Their conversation on April 13 would have been mostly devoted to the Invictus Games, launched by Prince Harry.
